The City of Kamloops has become a hub for Ebus on its long haul routes towards Vancouver and Kelowna.
Director of Business Development John Stepovy says the company’s operations in Kamloops have been working well, since launching last Halloween.
“We have coaches in Kamloops and Vancouver currently and should we be successful with the Prince George corridor, we will have a coach in Prince George as well,” he said. “Kamloops, geographically does sort of seem to be our bigger hub in BC potentially, specially with Prince George hopefully coming online.”
Stepovy says Ebus maintains a call centre in Kamloops and at times there are 10 and 12 employees in the city depending on how the shifts are scheduled.
“I mean it’s fairly central to Kelowna, to Vancouver and as well to Prince George so it makes sense and we have the opportunity to bring on quality staff and that’s always important for us an our passengers,” Stepovy said.
“The City of Kamloops has welcomed us with open arms, and we certainly appreciate everyone for that.”
Stepovy says the company was able to bring on “quality staff” in Kamloops.
