The Member of Parliament in Merritt says he’s happy to see that cannabis producers appear to be eager to do business there.

Central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola MP Dan Albas says the Nicola Valley is open for business and welcomes any opportunity that allows people to put food on the table.

“I’m just glad to see that Merritt, as it always has, is open for business. Merritt city council has some dliberations to do, to determine where these operations should best be placed. So that they have the appropriate infrastructure to support them.”

At least four potential cannabis producers have met with Merritt city staff and council about building cannabis facilities.
