Surrey RCMP say they now have reason to believe a pair of missing Surrey men may have made it to their destination of Spences Bridge on July 17.
Cpl. Elenore Sturko says police are still looking for Ryan Provencher (pictured on the right) and Richard Scurr, who were last seen one week ago in Surrey.
“But our investigators are still following up to confirm this, and neither of these two men have been seen or heard from since,” she told Radio NL. “So we are still concerned and would like to locate them.”
Sturko says there was no indication of foul play when the pair’s Jeep was discovered on Sunday in Logan Lake, adding it will undergo a further examination in Kamloops.
“Probably do some forensic examination of that vehicle and just looking for any evidence that might help us determine where these two individuals, where they are at this time, and give us maybe more clues of more places that we might be able to start looking for them,” Sturko added.
She says after the vehicle was discovered search and rescue, police dog services, and a helicopter was deployed.
“They conducted a search of the vast wooded area [near Logan Lake] but our investigators do not believe that these men are in that area still or unsure if they were there.”
Police are asking anyone with information to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502, or Crime Stoppers.
