Kamloops RCMP say a search last night for a suspicious vehicle in the Westsyde area near Grant Road came up empty.
Sgt. Sascha Fesenko says police were told about a suspicious vehicle where an occupant may have had a firearm abut 6:45 p.m. last night.
“We made patrols in the area. Members located a vehicle that was similar to the one described by our complainant,” he said. “They went and did further investigation and determined that wasn’t the vehicle that was involved.”
Patrols through the night were also unsuccessful in locating the vehicle in question.
Fesenko says police are still looking for the vehicle, adding the investigation is ongoing. He declined to provide a description of the vehicle in question at this time, saying police will release the information if they need more help from the public.
