Salmon Arm RCMP continue to search for a 33-year-old man following a boating incident on Shuswap Lake between Canoe and Sicamous on Sunday evening.

Police say two speed boats were travelling east side by side when one of them lost control, sending both occupants into the water.

A 25-year-old woman was pulled from the lake by people in the other boat, and was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Mounties and Search and Rescue volunteers from Sicamous kept looking for Ryan Hartmann, who remains missing.

The boats involved are in police custody, and police are examining them as they continue to investigate the cause of the crash.

The area of the lake where the incident occurred is between 250 and 350 feet deep.
