The Big Little Science Centre has found a new home in downtown Kamloops.
Executive director Gord Stewart says the program will be moving to the former Value Village property in the 400-block of Seymour Street, and plans to be open there in early November. The property is currently tenanted by Spirit Halloween for the next several weeks.
Meanwhile Stewart says the BLSC program expects to be out of Happyvale Elementary by the end of next week.
“It was all in the aftermath of the Parkcrest fire. As most people know we were leasing within the school district. They need space obviously because they lost an entire school. So being a leaser from the school district, we’re not a school district program so we had to move out, and we’re trying to get out as soon as we can.”
Stewart says in the interim before its move downtown – the program will continue to operate as normal off-site with classes and participation in community events.
