A Thompson Rivers University (TRU) instructor has been ordered to stand trial next April on a series of charges from an alleged domestic incident earlier this year.
Julio Viskovich is facing six charges in total – including two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of uttering threats, forcible confinement, and assault. None of the charges have been proven in court.
All of the charges stem from an alleged domestic incident on April 27, 2019. Viskovich’s trial is scheduled for April 2 and April 3, 2020.
Court documents allege that he threatened to cause death or bodily harm to one of the two complainants, and also threatened to damage their parents’ property. He is also accused of allegedly threatening to use a weapon to assault both complainants.
Viskovich is a marketing instructor at TRU’s school of business. His twitter profile says he’s a Forbes Top 30 influencer, who previously worked for Microsoft, and ‘helped build’ Hootsuite.
NL News has reached out to TRU for comment, but those calls were not immediately returned.
