
The Western Hockey League announced Wednesday that Pavel Novak of the Kelowna Rockets has been suspended eight games for a checking-from-behind major and game misconduct Monday on a hit on Kyrell Sopotyk.
Novak’s suspension will start Saturday, November 16 when Kamloops visits Kelowna.
Sopotyk suffered a separation of his shoulder and will miss the next 6-8 weeks of action.
