Merritt RCMP are looking for a pair of suspects who allegedly robbed the Corbett Lake Lodge on the Okanagan Connector early this morning.
Police say a man and a woman, believed to be in their late 20’s or early 30’s were interrupted by staff when reportedly trying to break into one of the cabins on site, around 3:50 a.m.
“The suspects reportedly had firearms in their possession in addition to the stolen guns,” said Cpl. Brock Hedrick. “The suspects made off with some firearms and personal property belonging to staff at the lodge.”
Hedrick says the pair reportedly had some firearms in their possession, and were seen heading towards Merritt in a light coloured sedan of an unknown make or model.
The man is described as either a First Nations or part Asian man, standing 6’0″ tall, with short dark hair. The woman is Caucasian with a pale complexion, possibly of Italian descent, with dark hair in a pony tail.
Police say if anyone has dash cam footage or other relevant information about this incident, to reach out to the Merritt RCMP or Crimestoppers.
