One person has been injured after a crash with a CN Rail train this morning in Ashcroft.
Southeast District RCMP spokesperson, Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey, says Ashcroft RCMP were called just before 8:30 a.m. to a crash between a car and a train near Old Cariboo Road and Tingley Street.
He says there was a man in the Mazda MX3 that was involved who was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He has since been released from hospital.
O’Donaghey says it appears that the car was hit on the passenger side by the CN train that was going southbound.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated, and police ask any potential witnesses to call Ashcroft RCMP.
