BC Transit has made a minor expansion to bus service in Kamloops which will benefit people going to-and-from Thompson Rivers University.
Spokesperson Jonathon Dyck says the corporation has added trips to the busiest busses in Kamloops.
“We are adding additional trips to Thompson Rivers University. So there’s two trips added on the Route 9 to support students and commuters, and then additionally there is a lunchtime trip from Thompson Rivers University to downtown that has been added on the Route 7, Aberdeen, at 11:55 a.m.”
Dyck says the changes announced today come from feedback after BC Transit added 3,000 hours of service in Kamloops in September.
BC Transit is also making minor scheduling changes to routes 1 (Tranquille), 2 (Parkcrest), 3 (Westsyde), 5 (Pineview), 10 (North Shore TRU Express) and 17 (Dallas).
Dyck says he encourages riders to check bctransit.com to see how they could be affected.
