Kamloops Fire Rescue says there is no public safety concern with lines laying across Barnhartvale Road, although traffic is backed up at that scene.
Platoon captain Dale Greffard says fire crews are at the scene of the downed lines doing traffic control, just east of Todd Road and the Happyvale Store.
“We have an engine crew on scene now, and we determined that the lines were non-energized lines, phone lines. So they’ll remove them from the road.”
Greffard couldn’t say what knocked the lines down. He says reports to KFR are that a logging truck knocked them down and left the scene, but couldn’t confirm that information.
