No serious injuries after a car went over the embankment near the Halston bridge this morning.
Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says police responded to the incident around 7:10 this morning.
“It appears that the vehicle had lost control when they hit black ice and went over the embankment,” she told NL News. “Just one person in the car, the driver.”
Shelkie says the driver was extricated with non-life threatening injuries, and she was taken to Royal Inland Hospital as a precaution.
There was a second incident around the same time on Halston Avenue when a car hit the centre median, but both incidents have since been cleared.
Photos sent in from two separate crashes on the Halston Connector this morning. One car went down an embankment and another crashed into the median. Traffic slow heading over the bridge towards the north shore but moving normally towards #BCHwy5. @RadioNLNews #kammute pic.twitter.com/DUkykqBt9u
