At least two people were taken to hospital after a crash near the Halston Esso this morning.
Kamloops Fire Platoon Captain Troy Grant says it appeared to be a head-on crash, and both vehicles had significant damage.
“Multiple parties went to hospital, I don’t have the exact number, but at least two, possibly four went to hospital from that MVI,” he said. “It appeared to be with minor injuries. Both vehicles appeared to be complete write-offs.”
Grant says crews had to use the jaws of life on one of the vehicles.
“They had to pop two different doors, but those people were able to walk to the ambulance,” he noted.
A cause for the crash isn’t clear just yet, but ice on the road is a possibility.
