A tentative contract has been reached between Thompson Rivers University members of the TRU Faculty Association.
A release from the province states that it focuses on improving services for people and ensuring fair and affordable compensation.
The tentative agreement covers about 900 faculty members represented by the Federation of Post-Secondary Educators Local 2 who work at the two main campuses, in Kamloops and Williams Lake, as faculty instructors, counsellors, librarians and instructional support.
The Sustainable Services Negotiating Mandate provides parties with the ability to negotiate conditional and modest funding to drive tangible service improvements for people in B.C.
The deal still needs to be ratified by the faculty association, the TRU Board of Governors and the University Public Sector Employers’ Association.
