Police in Kamloops have seized a large amount of drugs after a vehicle was stopped at the Shell gas station in Valleyview on Saturday night.
At around 9 p.m. on Saturday an SUV was seen stopped by three police cruisers at the gas station.
Kamloops RCMP Corporal Jodi Shelkie says police seized just over 300 grams of what is believed to be fentanyl, crystal meth and cocaine, as well as a stolen laptop and drug paraphernalia.
“This is a significant amount of illicit drugs that have been seized. So it’s great work on the officers that night to pull that vehicle over and get the drugs off the street.”
A man and a woman were in the vehicle, and police arrested the 34-year-old man who had a knife on him a bag of drugs in his pocket. The woman had been getting out of the vehicle when it was stopped by police.
Police have recommended charges to the Crown.
