Kamloops Mounties are looking for dash cam footage after a truck driver was injured in a hit and run late last night.
Sgt. Brandon Buliziuk says around 9:45 last night, RCMP responded to an injured man on the East Trans-Canada Highway/ Frontage Road in the Valleyview area.
“A male driver of a commercial vehicle had parked his rig and appeared to have been walking across Frontage Road, when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. The suspect vehicle did not stop, and fled from the scene.”
Buliziuk says the victim, who is not from Kamloops, was taken to Royal Inland Hospital, and treated for serious injuries, but has since been stabilized.
“Anybody that was in the area at the time of the incident that may have recording dash cameras in their vehicles are asked to review the footage for possible related video or images.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
