It appears a rail blockade near Chase, east of Kamloops on Canadian Pacific rail lines has been reinstated.
Set up opposite the Neskonlith Hall, photos posted to facebook say it is in solidarity with Wet’suwet’en Hereditary chiefs in their fight against the Coastal GasLink pipeline.
This blockade is the same area where a blockade was set up – then removed – last Thursday.
Word about this new blockade near Chase comes as the RCMP appeared to be making arrests at a blockade near New Hazelton, in northern BC.
That particular blockade was reestablished after ‘several’ people were arrested in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory in Ontario, hours after a midnight deadline calling for the protesters to clear the area had passed.
