
UPDATE – Quinn Cochlin, the five-year-old boy who was involved in a crash south of Kamloops on Sunday night, has now died in hospital.
Quinn was flown to BC Children’s Hospital on Sunday night after the crash near Stump Lake, which killed his 47-year-old father Mike and eight-year-old brother Liam. Police say he was a serious condition in hospital.
In an update to GoFundMe, Amy Davies says the family is grateful for the offers of love and support that have poured in.
“Quinn will be donating his heart, liver and kidneys tonight,” she wrote on Wednesday. “He is a hero. In the near future there will be a time to celebrate the lives of Mike, Liam, and Quinn.”
As of 10 p.m. Wednesday, the GoFundMe had raised over $55,000 towards its $100,000 goal in support of Erin Cochlin, Mike’s widow and the boys’ mother.
Southeast District Central Interior Traffic Services and the BC Coroners Service are still investigating the cause of the crash.

Mike Cochlin, was driving his two sons Quinn and Liam home to Okotoks after a road trip in B.C. when the crash happened near Stump Lake on Highway 5A.
The GoFundMe is hoping to raise $100,000 to support Mike’s widow Erin, and five-year-old Quinn who is on life support at the Vancouver Children’s Emergency Hospital, after he was airlifted there. Kamloops RCMP previously said that Quinn had died of his injuries in hospital, but later issued a correction.
