A 39-year-old man is in police custody after trying to go through a drive-thru in West Kelowna last Sunday morning in a stolen vehicle.
Police say around 2:30 a.m. on March 1, a West Kelowna RCMP officer noticed the vehicle – which was stolen out of Edmonton two days earlier – in front of her at the drive-thru at a coffee shop.
Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy says police surrounded the vehicle and took the driver into custody as he had outstanding warrants out of Merritt for driving while prohibited to do so.
She says Peter Hancock is also facing charges of driving while prohibited driving and possession of stolen property.
