Staff in Logan Lake say rumours of troubles for a proposed large-scale cannabis facility are not true.

CAO Randy Lambright says MedFlora Pharmaceuticals is also building a rental apartment in Merritt, and says the company will be turning more attention to its greenhouse in Logan Lake once that apartment gets to a certain point.

“From our perspective, not hearing anything in regards to any delays. When we last spoke with the proponent, they were in fact doing some due diligence relative to survey of the property to secure their deal with the Crown.”

Lambright says the company’s next step is still to secure the land, which is 9.8 hectares on Apex Drive, then to get the necessary approvals from staff and council.
