A tentative agreement has been reached between Thompson Rivers University (TRU) and members of the TRU Open Learning Faculty Association.

It covers about 260 faculty members, represented by the Federation of Post-Secondary Educators Local 17, who are responsible for distance education at TRU.

The government says the mandate focuses on improving services for people and ensuring fair and affordable compensation.

It notes that further details will be made public once the deal is ratified by the faculty association, the TRU Board of Governors and the University Public Sector Employers’ Association.
