
The Kamloops Broncos are suspending all off-season training in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
General Manager Jan Antons says it is for the health and safety of Broncos athletes.
“Without question, the last few days have been unprecedented in the sports world,” he said, in a statement. “The health and safety of our players, staff, volunteers, fans, families and the general public is our number one priority and of utmost importance.”
“After much consultation with public health authorities, the CJFL and other governing bodies, the Kamloops Broncos are suspending all team activities, including team training and conditioning, until further notice, effective immediately.”
Antons took to twitter on Saturday to say that for now, spring camp, currently scheduled to from May 8 to May 10, is proceeding as scheduled.
