An employee was taken to hospital with  serious but non-life threatening injuries after a liquor store in the 700 block of McGill Road was robbed at knife point.

Kamloops RCMP are looking for a man in connection to an armed robbery at the U District Liquor Store. Police were called this afternoon (March 19) at 12:25. The suspect entered the store and slashed the employee with a knife before stealing money from the till and fleeing on foot. Officers set up a perimeter but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspects is described as an indigenous male in his 30’s. He was wearing glasses with red/orange hair.  He was wearing all black and tan boots. Police ask that if you see him, do not approach him and call 9-1-1.

The employee was taken to Royal Inland Hospital for treatment.
