
The B.C. government has announced 66 new COVID-19 cases, including 16 new cases across the Interior Health Authority.
Province-wide, there have now been 725 cases of the virus and 14 deaths. There are now 66 people in hospital right now because of the virus, including 26 people in intensive care.
Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry also says 186 people in B.C. have fully recovered from the virus, which three more since yesterday.
Health Minister Adrian Dix says as of today, there are now 3,933 acute care beds available in health facilities across the province. He says occupancy is 63.6 per cent overall, and 54.8 per cent for critical care beds.
Tomorrow morning at 10 a.m., Dix and other officials will outline their “modeling” for how B.C. is prepared for a potential worst case scenario of a virus outbreak.
