A man is in custody after a reported armed robbery at a cannabis facility near Sicamous early this morning.

Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says the break-in was reported at about 4 a.m., where a manager of the grow-op went to the scene after an alarm went off at the building.

O’Donaghey says the staff member found two suspects who were armed inside the building, and says one suspect fired a shot towards the staff member before fleeing. No one was hurt in the confrontation.

RCMP later saw the suspect vehicle driving eastbound on Enderby-Mabel Lake Road, just outside of Enderby, and that vehicle was found abandoned in Mabel Lake.

Police then managed to arrest a suspect in Kingfisher, near Mabel Lake. The Southeast District Emergency Response Team was also called in.
