Logan Lake council will be discussing this week whether to keep its municipal campground closed during the pandemic.
Mayor Robin Smith says keeping it open would mean relying on tourists, and she points out health officials are telling people to not leave their communities if they don’t have to.
Revenues from the Logan Lake campground were more than $150-thousand dollars last year.
“It does impact our budget quite a bit not to have it open. So it’s been a really tough one, we’ve been reluctant to say we’re going to close it. But it’s starting to look like it could be heading that way. But we’ll know a little bit more after the meeting after the 16th for sure.”
Meanwhile, provincial parks are now closed until further notice because of the pandemic.
