The province has announced 34 new cases of COVID-19 today in B.C. as well as four new deaths.
Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says all four deaths were seniors who live at care homes that have active outbreaks; three were in Vancouver Coastal Health and one was in Fraser Health.
There have now been 2,087 reported cases in B.C. and the virus has killed 109 people in this province. More than 80,000 people have now been tested for COVID-19.
Henry says 89 people are in hospital and 35 people are in critical care.
A total of 1,305 people have recovered from COVID-19, which is 63 per cent of reported cases.
