The B.C. government is out with a new mobile app for Android and Apple devices that will help residents get up-to-date information on wildfires this year.
The app also has a “Near Me” function, that will information within a 50-kilometre radius of a person’s current location. Users will also be able to report wildfires and irresponsible behaviour that could start a wildfire directly to officials.
It will also include wildfire statistics for the current season (April 1 through March 31) which can be filtered by fire centre, suspected cause, stage of control, current year fires or active fires.
We are excited to release the official #BCWildfire Service mobile app – available now for Android and Apple (iOS) devices!
