Kamloops RCMP responded to a single vehicle crash on Flamingo Road at around 6:00 Tuesday morning.
Police say it occurred in the 2200 block where a car left the road to the left, going through hedges and hitting a tree in someone’s front yard.
The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say that one of the tires on the vehicle caught fire and it was quickly put out by Kamloops Fire crews.
According to a witness, the woman was in medical distress at the time of the collision and tire tracks show the vehicle left the Trans Canada westbound.
The incident remains under investigation.
