With the over-arching return plan now approved, the Kamloops-Thompson School District says specific plans for getting students back to class will come out next week.
Assistant Supt. of Secondary Schools Bill Hamblett tells NL News that the goal is to have every student doing full in-class learning, with staggered schedules at larger schools.
“We’re working away at it, and information will become available to people. Obviously the Minister of Education had to approve all the district plans, so that’s been done. So now that we have approval we’re getting down to the finer details,” Hamblett says.
“The main principals are to maximize face-to-face instruction… It’s pretty fluid right now. We’re doing our best, as the principals and vice principals are doing their best. So there’s more information to come, specific information for schools.”
Hamblett says plans for each school in the district should be sent out to parents on August 31.
