A Clearwater woman is facing a homicide charge after the body of a man was found on a road near that community.

RCMP reponded to a 911 call on Sunday after the body of David Simpson, also from Clearwater, was discovered in a remote area near the Adams Forest Service Road.

Ashleigh Tschritter is set to appear in provincial court in Kamloops today.

She is facing one count of second-degree murder.

Police are calling this an isolated incident and add there is no additional threat to the public.
