Canada Post says mail delivery has resumed for Kamloops residents after delays caused by smoky skies earlier in the week.
It says full service was restored in Kamloops on today, one day after a yellow service alert was issued, meaning mail would still be delivered to Kamloops residents but people could expect delays.
Castlegar and Trail remain without mail service as of Wednesday, while service is limited in much of the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley, as well as in Vernon and in Greater Victoria.
Full mail delivery also resumed today in Northern Vancouver Island and the Okanagan Valley.
The air quality in the Kamloops area is expected to worsen tomorrow and the smoke is expected to linger until Friday, but Environment Canada Meteorologist Doug Lundquist told NL News that conditions will improve this weekend.
