The six remaining CF Snowbirds CT-114 Tutors will be leaving Kamloops this afternoon and tomorrow morning heading back to home base at 15 Wing Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
Like before, the departures are subject to weather and operational requirements; and the exact time may vary.
“The CF Snowbirds will also conduct one test flight on Thursday afternoon. During this period, the public can expect to see one jet aircraft in the vicinity and are advised that there may be loud jet noise,” said a statement from the Canadian Armed Forces.
“These flights are carefully planned and closely controlled to ensure public safety at all times.”
People are being asked to not gather at the airport to see the planes leave because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The first two planes left Kamloops Airport on September 1 after a three month operational pause following a crash on May 17 that killed Captain Jenn Casey and injured the pilot, Capt. Richard MacDougall.
Two more planes left Kamloops last Thursday, September 10.
