A Kamloops business leader has concerns about what may be around the corner as a provincial election looms
Executive Director of the Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association, Carl DeSantis said that he doesn’t want to get into left and right politics as there are issues on either end of the spectrum.
“Economic recovery at the top and strategies to address the social issues, the vulnerable populations of course, right up there neck and neck,” he said, on the NL Morning News.
DeSantis questions the amount of money the early election is costing the province noting it could have instead gone to help support programs like Car-40 as well as other mechanisms for businesses through out the province.
“My phone lit up here in my office because of that announcement and that’s the concern with our businesses, what could have been done with the finances that are going to this election,” he noted.
Election Day is set for October 24.
