
Another 105 cases of COVID-19 were reported in B.C. today, although none of them were in Interior Health.
Ninety-nine were in the Lower Mainland (60 in Vancouver Coastal Health and 39 in Fraser Health), and six were in Northern Health.
There was also one new death from the virus yesterday, which was in the Lower Mainland.
There are now 1,268 active cases of the virus, which is 42 fewer than on Monday. There are also, still, 69 people in hospital, and now are 20 people in intensive care compared to 22 on Monday.
The B.C. government also has extended the provincial state of emergency by another two weeks.
It will last until at least Oct. 13, which is 11 days before the upcoming provincial election.
