A Lone Butte man has been charged in the December 2018 murder of Wayne Seterengen.
Seterengen was found dead inside a house near Horse Lake, north of Lone Butte, and at the time police believed his death was suspicious.
The North District Major Crime Unit says 64-year-old Paul DeCoffe was arrested yesterday in connection with Seterengen’s death and charged with one count of murder. He is expected to make a court appearance in Williams Lake today.
“We believe this was an isolated incident with no links to gangs or the illegal drug trade,” said RCMP spokesperson Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet. “There is no evidence to suggest that the general public is, or was at risk as the investigation progressed.”
