
There were 158 new cases of COVID-19 reported today in B.C.
There are now 1,496 active cases. Province-wide, there are 84 people are in hospital, and 24 people are in intensive care.
There were only three new cases today in the Interior Health region. Across IHA, there are now 29 active cases, while two people are in hospital and one person is in intensive care.
Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry reminds people to pay close attention to how they’re feeling by doing personal health checks each day. She says it’s “one of the best things we can do to protect ourselves and those around us.”
Nobody in B.C. has died from COVID-19 in the past day. In total, across B.C., there have been 10,892 reported cases (88 per cent in the Lower Mainland), and 250 deaths linked to the virus.
