Crews are replacing a bridge over Lac Le Jeune today which will impact some residents.
Yellowhead Road and Bridge quality manager Andrew Stewart says between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. today, people won’t be able to drive over it.
He says this work has been needed for some time.
“The bridge timbers are getting past their life expectancy. So we’re just going to go and replace the whole thing and raise it up a little bit, because the public out there kind of wanted it raised. So basically just replacing the whole bridge due to it’s life expectancy.”
After today, Stewart says residents who use the bridge can expect minor delays on Wednesday and Thursday while crews finish work, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
