Kamloops RCMP are asking people to be on the lookout for a man wanted on several arrest warrants who is believed to be in the Kamloops area.
Sgt. Darren Michels says Kevin James Beattie missed several court dates to face a variety of charges, and there are warrants out for his arrest. He says Beattie has no fixed address, but he has distinguishable features that would make him stand out.
Beattie is wanted on charges of possessing a weapon and ammunition while prohibited, driving while suspended, and theft under $5,000.
Earlier this morning, Mounties were spotted with a K9 dog near a home in downtown Kamloops, but it’s unclear if that is linked to this search.
Michels says if anyone sees Kevin Beattie or knows of his whereabouts, to not approach and to call Kamloops RCMP immediately.
