Merritt RCMP say about 5,000 doses of drugs including fentanyl, heroin, crack cocaine and crystal meth were seized from a known drug house yesterday.

Cpl. Derrick Francis says police entered the home with a search warrant before seizing the drugs and a loaded handgun.

Police also arrested three people inside the home, and Francis says charges are expected to laid for drug trafficking and firearm offenses. At time of posting, charges had not been laid and therefore the suspects had not been identified.

Francis says police are “very concerned” with the increase in firearms being found at local drug houses.
