
McCracken Station Pub in Valleyview is informing the public after an employee recently tested positive for COVID-19.
Staff say that person last worked on Saturday night, as was tested on Tuesday for the virus with the positive result coming back yesterday. That worker is now self-isolating.
The pub was voluntarily closed yesterday for a full cleaning after staff were informed of the positive case. It will be back open today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Staff say they are continuing to work with Interior Health, saying the health and safety of staff and customers is their top priority.
Last week, from Dec 13-19, the Kamloops local health region had 35 cases of COVID-19. The health region includes Kamloops, Chase, Logan Lake, Sun Peaks, Barriere and places in between.
