Interior Health says there will be a single lane traffic on the ring road at Royal Inland Hospital leading to the patient drop-off roundabout because of the ongoing construction at the Patient Care Tower project.
Traffic will be impacted from Monday, Jan. 11 until the following Sunday, Jan. 17, with work taking place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on each day.
The single-lane traffic will allow primary contractor EllisDon to dismantle the two cranes at the construction site. IHA says the short-term parking spaces near the roundabout will also be closed during this time.
“Mobility restricted and physician parking at Ponderosa Lodge will also be impacted allowing for the crane located next to Ponderosa Lodge to be dismantled,” a statement from IH said. “Signage will be in place and traffic control flaggers will be at both locations to assist the flow of traffic.”
The health authority says there will be no change in access to the public parkade at the Clinical Services Building or for over-height parking.
