Kamloops RCMP are looking for help in identifying a suspect after a robbery at Walmart just after 8 p.m. last Thursday, Jan. 7.
Const. Crystal Evelyn says a man is alleged to have pulled out a firearm when staff tried to stop him from leaving through an emergency exit without paying.
Three people were taken into custody, but later released as they did not fit the description of the suspect – a white man, standing about five-foot-seven, with neck tattoos. At the time, he was wearing blue jeans, a black hoody, black and white shoes, with a red bandana over his face.
“While Kamloops RCMP frontline officers investigate the robbery with the assistance of the General Investigation Support Team, the Crime Prevention Unit has been working with local businesses to help prevent such crimes,” Evelyn said.
