Kamloops RCMP arrested three people and seized weapons while investigating a stolen vehicle on the weekend.
Const. Crystal Evelyn says on Saturday, officers on patrol noticed a vehicle reported as stolen on Greenstone Drive, in Lower Sahali.
She says the RCMP Targeted Enforcement Unit was called to help as well. “Officers were able to keep an eye on the vehicle until its occupants were on foot and it was safe to arrest them.”
Evelyn says a man and two women were arrested, and says police seized a taser, a bb gun and knife from one of the women.
Thirty-two-year-old Kamloops resident Darcy Dean Anderson now faces several charges, including possession of property under $5,000 and driving while prohibited.
Anderson remains in custody and will appear in court next on Jan. 28.
