UPDATE:

Kamloops RCMP say a stun baton and knives were some of the items seized after a weapons report on Tranquille Road this morning.

Const. Crystal Evelyn says police responded to reports of a man with a “taser baton” in the area of Tranquille Road and Holt Street, around 9:30 a.m. Reports to NL News were that six police cruisers responded.

Evelyn says police found the man in the area, and he was taken into custody.

Officers seized the stun baton as well as knives, drugs, drug paraphernalia, and stolen property.

The suspect has been released with conditions and a court date.
