A man has been arrested after a police incident in Dufferin this morning.

A witness first told NL News of the scene this morning, in the parking lot outside of Canadian Tire.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn says Mounties were called to the 1400-block of Hillside Drive just after 9:15 a.m. She says it appears property was damaged, before police arrived and arrested a suspect, who was apparently intoxicated during the incident.

The suspect is in custody and will be released, once sober, with a court date. Charges are expected to be recommended.
