A Kamloops man is facing a mischief charge after a report of fires being set at a building on Victoria Street downtown.
Keghan Samuel Cosh was arrested around 3:10 p.m. on Jan. 27 in the 100-block of 4th Avenue. Police say he was taken into custody after they were called to a report of a man who had a small fire lit and was allegedly interfering with traffic in a parking lot.
About an hour earlier, police say they were at a building in the 400-block of Victoria Street for a report of a man setting fires.
“Frontline officers and Kamloops Fire Rescue attended and found the remnants of a small fire, which had already been put out,” Const. Crystal Evelyn said. “A witness provided police with a suspect’s name and description.”
Evelyn says Cosh was released with conditions after a court appearance.
