
Kamloops RCMP say a bank in Sahali was robbed at gunpoint this afternoon.
Const. Crystal Evelyn says police were called to the bank in the 1200-block of Summit Drive at 2:35 p.m. She says reportrs were that a man with a handgun demanded money from a teller.
Evelyn says he fled on foot heading westbound, after cash was given to him. It’s unclear the exact value that was taken.
After searching with a K9 unit, Evelyn says a suspect has not been found.
A suspect is described by police as being in his 40s or 50s with fair skin, standing five-feet-ten-inches tall and weighing 190 pounds. He was wearing a black toque, a navy blue mask, a three-quarter-length faded, dark jacket, blue jeans and brown shoes when the robbery happened.
