Ugly incidents led to police being called to two beauty stores in Kamloops this morning.
Kamloops RCMP responded at about 2:40 a.m. to a break-in at a retail store on Summit Drive, where an unspecified amount of items were stolen.
At about 4:40 a.m., police were also called to a break-in at a beauty store Hillside Drive. When they showed up, glass had been broken and items had been scattered inside the store, and it’s unclear what was stolen.
Const. Crystal Evelyn says Mounties used police dog services to track a suspect but says no one was found.
She says people buying products online need to be cautious.
“Because of the nature of the business broken into, we’re asking the public to be vigilant about what type of beauty products and accessories they’re buying privately,” Evelyn says.
“By buying items you suspect may be stolen you are inadvertently encouraging crime.”
Anyone with information on the two break-ins this morning is asked to call Kamloops RCMP.
